ELITE Aggregates:

ELITE Aggregates

What is ELITE Aggregates and what makes it different?

ELITE Aggregates is a lightweight, high-strength, engineered aggregate manufactured from recycles materials, such as bottom ash from coal and wood burning boilers (power plants), slag from the bottom of the boiler at steel mills, biomass (bottom ash) from the burning of waste materials, recycled plastic such as EPS, ABS, and PBC, and recycled crushed glass. ELITE Aggregates has been designed as an environmentally green product that uses no less than 80% recycled materials. Multiple weights are available bases on your specific needs. ELITEAggregates reduces the amount of solid waste materials currently dumped into landfills. ELITE Aggregates replaces ASTM C-330 and ASTM C-331 mineral-based lightweight aggregates with its patented synthetic rock at a significant cost and weight savings to the producer. ELITEAggregates has been issues two U.S. patents (patent #'s 5,528,547 and 6,638,355). Elite Aggregates is truly a green technology.

ELITE Aggregates is a viable alternative and replacement of the lightweight mineral aggregates.

Characteristics of ELITE Aggregates:

ELITE Aggregates weigh between 20 to 54 pounds per cubic foot with a compressive strength of 1,000 to 5,000 psi, and an average strength of 3,500 psi. ELITE Aggregates in concrete will produce a high strength, lightweight concrete with the capability to be cut, screwed, and nailed with standard construction tools. Using ELITE Aggregates as the aggregate base in various concrete mixes, the yields will average a compressive strengths of 5,000 psi at 95.8 pounds per cubic foot and a tensile strength of 535 psi. ELITE Aggregates will produce both a lightweight and high strength concrete.

ELITE Aggregates was issued a certificate for Proof of Process through Commercial Test Laboratories, a division of CTL Thompson.

ELITE Aggregates meets the following standards as set by the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM)
